Putnam Reads, Inc. is a Georgia nonprofit which provides monthly books until the age of five. For over 20 years, we worked with Ferst Readers to send books to children in our county, but beginning this summer, we will be sending books with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. With your support, we hope to raise the $26 per year per child to provide our young readers in Putnam County with a foundation for success.
This is our 11th annual Seuss on the Loose (SOL), a specialty fundraiser in conjunction with Read Across America, a nationwide, week-long event commemorating the birthday of beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss. Our volunteers are very excited about this event, which will be held on Sat., March 1st at Putnam County Primary School, 162 Old Glenwood Springs Road in Eatonton. The day will start with a morning Fun Run and will be followed by an indoor festival with over 20 Seuss-themed activities, raffle drawings, and food for purchase. Funds will be generated on the day of the event through activity participation via either one ticket per activity or the purchase of an unlimited-activity-access wristband.
Thank you for taking the time to review these options. To be included on the t-shirt, we would need to receive your response no later than Fri., Feb. 14th. We hope to work with you to continue the success of Putnam Reads, Inc.
All sponsors will have the opportunity to give us promotional materials for your business for display at the event— business cards, brochures, signs with logos, etc. A Putnam Reads member will get those a day or two in advance of the event at the time that your shirt(s) and wristband(s) are delivered. Any items left after the event will be returned to you.
Sincerely,
Cathy Mize, Putnam Reads & SOL Sponsorship Chair Tina Mason, SOL Steering Committee (478) 454-7150 (706)-817-1215 [email protected][email protected]
